Awarded to one Paramus student-athlete in honor of the late Chicago Bear’s great Brian Piccolo who died prematurely, in 1970 at the age of 26, after an eight month battle with cancer. The life and times of Brian Piccolo was memorialized in the 1971 movie classic “Brian’s Song”. The Piccolo awards are presented nationwide by UNICO chapters to high school seniors of Italian-American heritage who demonstrate athletic prowess, scholastic achievement, community service and good character.

$1000.00 awarded to one male and one female high school senior that resides and attends school in Paramus and is of Italian ancestry.
Membership into UNICO is open to American men and women of Italian heritage, or persons married to men and women of Italian heritage.
